Dakarai Allen was named Coordinator for Student Activities and Intramurals in February 2026. Originally from Clearwater, Florida, Dakarai attended the University of South Dakota where he played football before moving to Aberdeen in 2020. He is completing his Bachelor of Science in General Studies online through Northern State University and is expected to graduate this May.

In his role, Dakarai plays a vital part in enhancing the student experience and fostering a vibrant, inclusive campus community. He is building a regionally recognized campus recreation and intramurals program, encouraging student engagement, strengthening campus belonging, and contributing meaningfully to the implementation of the Student Affairs Strategic Plan (2025–30).

Before joining Northern State University, Dakarai worked in the Aberdeen Public School District as a Special Education Assistant at Holgate Middle School, where he supported students’ skill development, communication, and leadership. He also spends his summers improving recreation landscapes in Aberdeen through his work with Moccasin Creek Country Club and Skeeter Defeeter.
